Araluen's professional management team is on duty during weekday business hours with relief managers on duty at weekends. The managers are on call outside of business hours for emergencies.
Each unit is connected to an emergency monitoring service to assist residents, 24hours per day, 7 days per week. A local doctor visits the village surgery on a regular basis.
Although the village is non-denominational, spiritual needs have not been overlooked. Ministers from local churches conduct regular services in the village centre.
The village engages a contractor to mow the lawns and employs a gardener to maintain the common property garden areas and the gardens around the community buildings. Residents are encouraged to augment this service to maintain gardens around their unit.
For the benefit of all residents, the management facilitates the maintenance of the village and coordinates all the tasks required. To ensure that the wishes of residents are considered, the management meets with the Resident's Executive Committee regularly to discuss matters of mutual interest.
In addition to the Resident's Executive Committee, there are other committees that convene regularly to organise dinners and similar events.
